Halloween weekend we took a hike on Mt. Lamlam with some friends. Mt. Lamlam is said to be the biggest mountain in the world because of the distance from the peak to the bottom of the Mariana Trench. We had a nice leisurely walk up but once we got up to the top we unfortunately decided to take a different path down. Well, we actually had to make our own path. It wasn't as easy as it looked like it would be from the top. It was very steep and muddy with high sword grass. We got all cut up and were slipping and falling everywhere. We thought it would never end. I literally kissed the ground when he got back to civilization. In the end, it still made out for a fun and adventurous day.
A little grotto on the way up.

The crosses at the top. Beautiful, but a little eerie at the same time.

This beautiful view was worth it!

We were standing on the edge of a cliff!!

Making our own "path" down. Sword grass was overgrown and EVERYWHERE.

Taking a little break on the way down.

Do you spy Jack and Amanda slipping and falling?

Yep, we both fell at the same time.

Finally done. We were bruised, bloody, and exhausted.

The end result, and this is only my legs.
You brave goobers! I'll hike Lamlam with you, but I'm staying on the trail coming down! :)
