Friday night we went camping at the Air Force base with some friends. Another thing we can check off of our to-do list. Our camp site was right off of the beach so it was beautiful! We had a great time sitting around relaxing and eating some good food. The best part was being on the beach late at night looking up at the stars with the sound of the waves and a cool breeze...unforgettable! Unfortunately the whole night wasn't so breezy. It was SO hot in the tent when it was time for bed. That, plus the fact that our air mattress kept deflating every hour made for a restless night. Despite this, we still had a great time and I'm glad we got to do it before we leave island :)

There was no grill at our camp site so we had to go up the mountain to get some service so we could call the recreation office and ask about it. They said they would bring us a grill...
...we waited and waited and no one showed up with the grill. So we went old school and made ourselves a fire pit out of some coral from the beach. It worked!
