I've been slacking on my blogging lately. With this upcoming move, I've had a lot of things on my to-do list. We've been back from our vacation to Australia for 2 weeks now but I still wanted to give a quick recap of our trip. We spent an amazing 7 nights and 8 days in Cairns, Australia. It is the northern tropical region in the state of Queensland and is most known for being the home to the great barrier reef. It was winter time but the weather was great. Some days there was a chilly breeze and other days it was sunny and hot. Perfect for us! Winter time there also brought on great food specials at restaurants that included lots of pumpkin. Yummm! We saw and experienced some amazing things, definitely making it a trip of a lifetime. I loved all of the unusual animals indigenous to Australia. We also saw koalas, kangaroos, crocodiles, rainforests, and lots of beautiful scenery. Some of the highlights include going on a cruise at sunset, snorkeling the great barrier reef on an island for the day, riding a train and skyrail, going on a food and wine tour, and zip lining through the rainforest.
