I had a great birthday and Memorial Day weekend. On my actual birthday my co-worker surprised me and took me to the spa and dinner for a much needed day of relaxation :) On Memorial Day I took the pups to the War in the Pacific National Park at Asan Beach out in town where there were a bunch of American and Guam flags set up. I was able to get some really great pictures and Alfie and Lucy loved walking all around the park. Then last night, my friends threw me a little surprise party. I knew we were getting together for a game night but I was definitely surprised when I walked in and the whole house was covered in streamers and balloons for me. It was so much fun and they even got me a Cold Stone ice cream cake...delicious! I realized how lucky I am to have made such great friends here on Guam. They made me feel extra special on my birthday since Jack is away. I am so thankful! I love my Chamorro babies <3
Aww! Good post! I'm sure the Chamorro chihuahuas loved the park! Just like their cousin Bentley loved Valley Forge National Historical Park over Memorial weekend! I can't believe your game night you were telling me about turned out to be another surprise! What good friends you have there. I was sad to not have you here for your birthday and also that you didn't have Jack there, but glad you had great people to celebrate with you. P.S. I love that first picture of the two dogs. Lucy is such a girl. And I think Alf looks like a furry pug mix in his solo shot!
P.S. I just realized how awesome that picture of him is overall, with all of the flags behind him, and the palm trees and beautiful sky in the background! He's so patriotic...haha
I have a wonderful family and am married to the most amazing man in the world. He is in the Navy and we are currently stationed on the beautiful island of Guam. I made this blog so our family and friends could keep up with us while we are living here for the next few years. We miss everyone back home in PA but luckily, our two long haired Chihuahuas, Alfie and Lucy, help to keep us company. I feel so blessed and all in all, life is good.
